Stimulator Jones is an artist from Roanoke, Virginia. He has been releasing music since 2014, but it was in 2018 that he had his breakthrough moment, when he released Exotic Worlds and Masterful Treasures on Stones Throw. He had a busy 2021, releasing La Mano on Mutual Intentions, as well as Low Budget Environments Striving For Perfection on Stones Throw. Now he’s back with another album for Stones Throw, Round Spiritual Ring.

Mecca:83 is a producer from Manchester who has been releasing music for over a decade, working with artists like Georgie Sweet, Deborah Jordan, and he’s been part of groups like Grap Luva and Redefinition. He’s also produced under the name RISE, but most importantly, he’s kept up a steady solo career as Mecca:83. That said, it had been two years since his last release, Quiet Moments. Now, coming off of a beat cypher at Workinonit, he’s back with a new EP, Third Eye Spectrum.

K1NG ELJAY - PTSD

K1NG ELJAY is an artist from Birmingham who has been releasing music since the mid-2010s. In that time, he helped bring together the RDFND crew, and he collaborated with the likes of inlkine, DJ Swole, and D Gut, just to name a few. His most recent release came just last December, when he teamed up with Akil Pratt and OZU8LACK to release the brilliant album, Flags on Jupiter. Now he’s back with a deeply personal album, PTSD.

Indian Wells - No One Really Listens To Oscillators

Indian Wells is a producer from southern Italy who has been releasing music for about the last ten years. His most recent project was an EP in 2020, New Ruins. His last full-length album, Where the World Ends, however, came out five years ago. Now he is back with an ambitious new album, No One Really Listens To Oscillators.
The initial concept for the album was born out of a New York Times article that Indian Wells read about a new architectural style, which had a philosophy of focusing on the idea of the “unfinished.

JWords is a producer from Brooklyn who has been only releasing music for a couple of years, but she’s been very busy in that time. Between her group H31R, alongside Maassai, producing for Nappy Nina, and her solo work, she’s covered a lot of ground just since 2020. Most recently, we heard from her back in February, when she dropped the album Self-Connection. Now she’s back with a new EP, brainecho.

Since the launch of their Jazz is Dead label in 2020, Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad have provided a space for older jazz musicians to get back in the studio and record new original material. In that time, we’ve gotten releases from Roy Ayers to Azymuth to Brian Jackson to most recently, Jean Carne. Now they are switching gears with their latest release, working a relatively new group, Katalyst, for JID013.

Femme Deadly Venoms - Femmenomenon

Femme Deadly Venoms is a group from Oakland consisting of emcees Aima the Dreamer, Breathless, Dakini, and deejay/producer/vocalist Lady Fingaz. They released their first EP in 2013, and then followed that up with their first album, Planet Femme, in 2015. Since that time, they’ve been on a bit of a hiatus, working on different projects, but now they have come together like Voltron to deliver their best work to date, Femmenomenon.

He’s been part of scenes like The Good Life and Project Blowed, and he’s been in groundbreaking groups like Freestyle Fellowship and Haiku D’etat, as well as maintaining a long and fruitful solo career. Now he gets to add one more feather in his cap as Parker Pubs Press releases his book, My Kaleidoscope.

Moor Mother - Jazz Codes

Moor Mother is an artist who emerged in the mid-2010s out of Philadelphia, only to hit the ground running with a distinct and unique artistic voice. She did so with an amazing run of albums on Don Giovanni before signing with Anti-. She released her first album with them last year, Black Encyclopedia of Air. Earlier this year, she teamed up with DJ Haram to release the second 700 Bliss album, Nothing to Declare.
